Oh misery, if only you were miserly
Written: May 2015
Of all things under the bright yellow sun,
a miserly soul is a thing we all shun.
But one thing miserly you wouldn’t mind,
is the misery that you in your life find.
Misery, a spendthrift in ways more than one,
presents itself to all, sparing none.
Misery, if you let him,
would most readily thrive on his own whim;
and fool you into believing in the nearing end,
when it really is just a bend.
Make misery a thing of the past,
and shake hands with a peace that lasts.
